By using this website you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the website.
The guides, articles and other content on this website are general information for town, parish and community councils. They are not professional advice for your council’s circumstances and should not be relied on as such. Always follow your external auditor’s instructions and the current Practitioners’ Guide.
We aim to keep the content accurate and up to date, but rules and guidance change, and we do not promise that everything on the website is complete or current.
Fees shown on the website, including those from our quote tool, are our published prices at the time, excluding VAT. A fee shown on screen is not an offer to provide services. We confirm the fee in a written proposal after a short scope and independence check, and our services are provided only under a signed engagement letter, which sets out the terms that apply.
We may change our published prices at any time. A change does not affect a fee already agreed in an engagement letter.
You may view, download and print content for your own use or your council’s internal use. You must not:
The client portal is only for authorised users from councils we work with. Keep your sign-in details secure and tell us at once if you think someone else has used them.
We own, or are licensed to use, all content, logos and designs on this website. Local Council Audit and the LCA logo are used by Acme Advisory Ltd.
Links to other websites are for information only. We are not responsible for their content or for how they handle your data.
We do not exclude or limit liability where the law does not allow it, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
Otherwise, we are not liable for any loss arising from the use of, or reliance on, content on this website, or from the website being unavailable. Our liability for services we provide to councils is set out in our engagement letter, not in these terms.
Our privacy notice explains how we use personal data, including information entered in our quote tool and forms, and how we use cookies.
If you are unhappy with our service, please see our complaints procedure.
We may update these terms at any time; the date at the top shows the latest version. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
