Your fee depends on the size of your council. Interim visits start from £49 remotely or £99 on site, travel included. No hourly billing: your fee is fixed once agreed in your proposal.

Fees shown are starting prices. Your fixed fee is confirmed in your proposal and may be higher depending on your council’s size, complexity, prior-year findings or the work required. On-site interim visits are the remote price for your band plus £50, travel included.
Fixed fees, a qualified ICAEW chartered accountant, clear reports your council can act on, and help between visits. If you have a written like-for-like quote from another internal auditor that offers better value, send it to us and we’ll match it or explain exactly what you get for the difference.
Our starting prices are for a typical council of its size, with records in reasonable order. We confirm your fee in a written proposal after a short scope check, and it is then fixed for three years. Before you appoint us, we may propose a different fee if:
Once agreed, your fee only changes if the council’s circumstances change materially, and we will always agree any change with you in writing first.
Councils over £200k need at least one interim visit. Everyone else adds only what they need. Prices below are starting prices; your proposal confirms the exact fee.
Remote interim visits are tiered by council size (from £49 to £179 — see the fee table). On-site interim visits are the remote price for your band plus £50 (from £99 to £229), travel included. Councils over £250k get one remote presentation free. All extras exclude VAT.
Your internal auditor must be independent of the controls they review. Our auditors are independent of your council’s finances and day-to-day management, as the Practitioners’ Guide requires. The audit fee is for internal audit only.
